DM regulates dirt tracks for tourist firms and SUVs
Khalid Mohammed Saleh, Director of Buildings Department at Dubai Municipality, revealed that the civic body has been regulating the random dirt-tracks used by cars from tourist companies and SUV owners in Aweer II area, which have been threatening the safety of residents in the area.
Jabir Ahmed Abdullah, Head of the Building Inspection Section said that the Building Department had received many complaints from residents of the area which referred to the inconvenience and dust caused by cars using unpaved tracks in the area, in addition to problems resulting from the irregular use of SUVs in the desert environment.
This situation prompted the Buildings Department to coordinate with partners of the Municipality to identify specific tracks for cars of tourist companies and SUVs in the area.
He also urged companies and SUV owners to comply with the rules and regulations in place and only use the allowed tracks to avoid legal action in case of violations.
