Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) bagged two prizes at the Unicef Regional Information Awards held in Cairo.
'Osrati Hayati' hosted by Ibrahim Istadhi on Noor Dubai Radio won Unicef's special award given to young people to encourage them to actively participate and express their views on the challenges they face, reported 'Al Ittihad' newspaper.
'Vitamin' hosted by Dr Ali Singhel on Dubai TV bagged the top prize under the TV programmes category. This is the second time the programme has won the prize.
The theme for this year's Unicef Regional Information Awards that cover five categories - TV, radio, print media, online media and photography - was 'rights of the child'.
Ahmed Al Sha’er, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications and Government Relations, DMI, said: "DMI strives to raise awareness of their viewers and participates in all campaigns aimed at protecting families in general and children in particular."
