The Summit on the Global Agenda, the world’s largest brainstorming event aimed at shaping the global agenda for growth and development, to be held from November 12 to 14, 2012 in Dubai, has joined hands with the Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) as the strategic Media Partner.

DMI is extending its expertise in offering comprehensive media coverage to the Summit on the Global Agenda hosted in the UAE for the fifth consecutive time, highlighting the long-standing partnerships fostered by Dubai in hosting the global event.

A framework of co-operation has been established among national institutions to host global events in the country, and the DMI partnership complements the UAE leadership’s vision of strengthening the position of the UAE regionally and internationally.

Ahmad Abdullah Al Shaikh, Managing Director, DMI, said: “DMI has been at the forefront of communications delivery, providing effective coverage of events of global significance. We are committed to provide distinctive media services of high quality standards and credibility to a wider population. The Summit on Global Agenda is more relevant than ever before and DMI will deliver the message through various media platforms to the target groups. We are honoured to be part of this strategic event and proud that the UAE is once again hosting hundreds of thinkers and experts of international stature.”

"The Summit on the Global Agenda this year comes at a time when the humanity faces real challenges, and this is what makes this year’s Summit very important as it discusses several key topics.  DMI confirms its full commitment to provide the necessary resources to achieve the strategic objectives of this unique event, which underlines that the UAE is the ideal choice for hosting major international events," he added.

Sami Dhaen Al Qamzi, Director General of the Dubai Economic Department, and Co-chair the Summit, said: “The Summit on the Global Agenda discusses important issues that are central to driving the developmental narrative of the world in the coming months. With global thought leaders arriving to Dubai to take part in the Summit, it is important to ensure that the event reaches out to the wider public. This year, several open plenaries are being planned on the sidelines of the event, and our partnership with DMI will further help in driving stronger interaction with the residents of the UAE. As a strategic partner, DMI is also in a strong position to reach out to the world with messages of international relevance.”

Apart from providing comprehensive media coverage of the Summit through its various channels, DMI will also support the local and international media with information on the Summit. A large number of international media organisations are expected to be in Dubai to cover the Summit.

The Summit on the Global Agenda, hosted by the UAE for the fifth year in a row, is a testament to the UAE’s thought leadership position globally, and a demonstration of the country’s ability to host major international events.
