An Arab physician has been arrested for peddling drugs while on duty.
Sharjah Police in corporation with the Ministry of Health nabbed the medic who allegedly gave narcotic drugs to youngsters in return for money.
The police acted on a reliable source of information that the doctor was into illegal practise at a private clinic.
The doctor confessed to the charges.
He has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
General Command of Sharjah Police expressed regret that a medical professional was into drug peddling.
Police called on residents to take precautions and alert any such incidents.
