Driver acquitted of misdemeanor charges
The Dubai Misdemeanour Court Tuesday acquitted a Pakistani driver accused of injuring his employer due to rash driving.
The chargesheet against the accused, MAM, 43, reads that the driver pulled the breaks suddenly while transporting his employer Safiya Abdullah, 49, which cause her bleeding.
According to her testimonies to the court, Safiya alleged that MAM quarreled with her and threatened to kill her while transporting her. She also alleged that he abrupt breaking led to her bleeding.
While testifying, MAM admitted to sudden breaking, but explained that he did it because the employer asked him to take right turn suddenly. However, he denied threatening her instead claiming that he was beaten by the employer with her sandal.
Though, the medical report of Al Wasl hospital shows that the complainant had bleeding On January 21, the Court acquitted the driver terming the allegations baseless.
