Driver burns to death on Al Khail Road

A man burnt to death after a fire broke out in his car on Al Khail road, ‘Al Khaleej’ newspaper reports.

Major Abdullah Ali Bichwa, Land Rescue Department, Dubai Police, said that the operations room received a call at 12.30pm on Saturday that a fire broke out in a car after it rammed the concrete barrier on Al Khail road.

The rescue squad rushed to the site of the accident where the driver of the vehicle died on the spot after he was trapped in the car.

He added that the body was transferred to forensics.

Major Bichwa also said that a person was injured in another accident between two cars on Al Khail road.
