Drug dealer gets life in jail

The federal supreme court sentenced an Asian man for life in prison after he was convicted of smuggling drugs into the country, newspapers said on Thursday.

The court upheld previous sentences by two Ajman courts jailing the unnamed defendant for life after he was seized with around three kg of hashish.

The supreme court also ordered his deportation after his jail term and fined him Dh2,500 for entering the UAE illegally.
