Drug dealer sentenced to death

An Abu Dhabi criminal court sentenced an Asian man to death after he was convicted of smuggling heroin into the country, newspapers reported on Tuesday.

Police caught the dealer red-handed as he tried to sell 56 heroin capsules for Dh33,600 to a police undercover in the capital.

The unnamed man confessed during interrogation that he had brought the drugs into the UAE from another country.
