Drugs hidden in roof of car

Police dogs discovered drugs hidden in the roof of a car, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

Police received a tip off about Emirati, RM, 32, jobless, who had drugs with him. Police watched his movements for some time before confronting him on March 3.

They searched him as he stepped out of a restaurant. But did not find anything on him.

Cops searched his car and found a needle. But no drugs was found. So sniffer dogs were put in action. The dogs discovered drugs hidden in the roof of the car.

He admitted to possessing drugs for personal use.

RM is also accused of taking morphine, methamphetamine and amphetamine.

The court will give verdict on May 25.
