Du workers accused of stealing customers’ funds

The Dubai Criminal Court heard a case of two du employees who allegedly used forged documents to get SIM cards and steal Dh46,000.

RAS, 25 and RAB, 29, have been accused of forging two photocopies of passports that show that the holders are customer service employees at Emirates Bank. They used the forged copies and got 12 du SIM card. They have used the SIM cards to steal Dh46,000 from the credits of other du customers.

The two were also accused with the complicity of an unidentified third accused (fugitive) by forging SIM card applications. The fugitive signed on the applications which were attributed to two bogus persons.

According to the records the accused had stolen the amount from 48 customer credits by transferring amounts to their SIMs.
