An Emirati manager of a key bank based in Dubai has disappeared while on pilgrimage to Makkah in Saudi Arabia and could have headed for Kuwait, the Kuwaiti Arabic language Alanba newspaper reported on Saturday.
The man, believed to be suffering from schizophrenia, could have traveled to Kuwait from Makkah by land after performing Umra (mini pilgrimage), it said.
“The man might have left Makkah and headed for Kuwait without telling anyone…his relatives managed to track him while in Makkah through his credit card and are now looking for him in Kuwait,” the paper said. “They have not yet contacted police on the grounds his movements are still normal.”
The paper did not quote a source for its report nor did it identify the man apart from saying he is an “Emirati managing a well-known bank in Dubai.”
