It will be a colourful sky on Friday as creativity takes flight with the second International Kite Festival in Dubai.

Kite flyers from across the country, along with a few even jetting in from India, Sri Lanka and Kuwait, will soar high to showcase some of their best designs and pilots.

Organised by Tamquest Entertainment, last year’s event drew in a crowd of over 10,000 enthusiasts, with this year’s numbers only expected to rise further as fans and participants head over to the Dubai Outlet Mall on Dubai-Al Ain Road on the Friday the 18th January.

Don’t fret if you don’t possess the skills or the actual kite itself, with a number of vendors at the event who will enable people to ‘Buy-and-Fly’ instantly.

Meanwhile, kids can look forward to the kite-building workshop between 10.30am and 11.30am.

The family event will also have an entertainment corner with DJ Vimal spinning music throughout the day, while the Dubai Drums will beat a tune for the occasion.

Tickets are priced at Dh80 for family, Dh50 for couples and Dh30 for singles.
