Dubai mall visitors to get obesity, diabetes check

Dubai Festival City Mall visitors from March 21-23 will have the opportunity to receive free medical checks assessing risks associated with obesity and diabetes.

Throughout the three-day campaign, health experts from Dubai London Clinic & Speciality Hospital will offer Mall visitors complimentary medical assessments, including Body Mass Index calculations and diabetes checks while also displaying presentations on thyroid disorders and demonstrating ways to treat the disease.

“This campaign is part of Dubai Festival City Mall’s continuous strive towards promoting a healthy lifestyle throughout the city. Our partnership with Dubai London Clinic & Speciality Hospital aims at providing all citizens with valuable health services and we encourage everyone residing in Dubai to visit us and benefit from the experience of highly qualified medical consultants,” said Murray Bell, Managing Director, Retail & Leisure at Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE).

“We are committed to reducing the spread of diabetes in the UAE and will raise substantial awareness on the multiple dangers of obesity through our partnership with Dubai Festival City Mall. We shall provide all visitors to the mall with key solutions that would help them avoid the risk of falling victim to diabetes which is one of the world’s major health hazards,” stated Inge Swart, Marketing Manager at the Dubai London Clinic & Speciality Hospital.

“Going forward, Dubai Festival City Mall will join forces with a number of public and private medical organisations as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility towards the UAE community. Leading a healthy lifestyle should be on everyone’s agenda,” Bell concluded.
