Dubai plans one-stop shop for heavy vehicles
Dubai plans to establish a trading complex to regulate trading in used trucks and heavy equipment in Al Rawya Al Taltha.
Hussein Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, said 249,818 sqm of land in the area along Dubai Bypass Road has been approved by Municipality to help traders in heavy vehicles and equipment.
Ibrahim Al Obeid, Head of Markets and Acting Director of Property Department, said the new project will be convenient for traders from within the UAE as well as outside the country as they would not have to visit several places looking for best deals. At present trucks and heavy equipment are seen lined up on road sides at several places which not only lead to traffic congestion but also lends the city an untidy look.
The new complex will comprise a host of integrated services right from inspection facilities to finance and insurance services.
