A valet parking staff defrauded his company of Dh65,000 by re-using the same card several times.

Speaking to Emirates 24|7, Lt. Col. Ahmed Matar Al Muhairi, Head of the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology of Dubai Police said this was one of the smart suspects, and he used a special pen.

“The main suspect, with the knowledge of his colleague, used a special pen that can easily be erased. He re-used one card several times by writing the car numbers on it and erasing them to note down new numbers. Thereby, stealing Dh65,000 from the valet parking company.”

Lt. Col. Al Muhairi added that having his colleague as his partner in crime helped him until they had a fight.

“The two suspects had an argument about distributing the money between them, which turned into a fight and the partner complained about the main suspect to the company owner.”

Thus, police arrested the duo. But the main suspect denied being involved in this crime.

“However, Forgery Section confirmed the crime proving that numbers were written on the same card many times, and it was in his hand writing,” Lt. Col. Al Muhairi said.
