Dubai Police launches the 'Smart Fine Ticket'; violations to be registered via voice or images

Dubai Police has launched the ‘Smart Fine Ticket’ for Dubai Police military personnel, allowing them to report traffic violations and issue tickets, via the smart applications.

This move comes within the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, for the transformation to Smart Government and the initiatives to make Dubai the smartest city, worldwide.

Brigadier Khalid Nasser Alrazooqi, Direct General of Smart Services Department stated the app has been launched as per the instruction of Major General Khamis Matar Al-Mezainah, Commander in Chief of Dubai Police.

Authorities state this move aims to deepen the policing sense, to elevate the feeling of allegiance for this profession, and to sanctify the policing duties, in guarding the road security and the public safety by encouraging them to abide by traffic rules and regulations.

He pointed out that training and activation of ‘Smart Traffic Ticketing’ service, to police patrols in Dubai, has been deployed.

He, also, reported that the services and traffic systems that have been developed are of the latest modern international systems, and were developed to serve and support the achieving of the main objective, which is to reach the highest rate of zero per cent, in the proportion of deaths due to traffic accidents.

He said that through the application, tickets can be issued and recorded, by voice or image, or by filling the forms within the application, and it will be recorded against such vehicle.

The Dubai Smart Initiative aims at transforming Dubai to be the smartest city, worldwide, through 100 initiatives and 1000 smart services to improve the quality of life in Dubai.

The Initiative is based on six main sectors, focusing on achieving smart economy, smart way of life, smart transportations, smart government, smart environment, and smart generations; through three main axis: communication, continuity, and cooperation.
