Dubai releases 384 prisoners to mark Eid
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, in his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai has ordered the early release of 384 prisoners incarcerated in various penitential institutions in Dubai, to mark the occasion of Eid Al Adha.
Dubai Attorney General Issam Al Humaidan thanked Sheikh Mohammed for his humanitarian gesture, which saw the release of 53 UAE nationals, saying that the early discharge will bring happiness to the families of the soon-to-be-released prisoners.
Al Humaidan added that Dubai Public Prosecution had already started coordinating with Dubai Police to implement the order.
