Dubai's 'Knights' prove tough draw for Saudi 'cheerleaders'

As Dubai's 'Knights' Al Ahli football club took their success to new levels, it was the support that the Saudi team Al Hilal drew that attracted the coverage of the Arabic media.

Al Ahli beat Saudi club Al Hilal 3-2 in the semifinal of the Asia Cup.

'Emarat Al Youm' reports, with these pictures, that support for Saudi Arabia in the Asian Cup semifinal was strong, and impressive, in its female representation.

The match took place at the Rashid Stadium in Dubai.

Abdullah Al Naboodah, Chairman of Al Ahli said on the official club website that he received a phone call from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, after the match, to congratulate the club on the achievement.

Al Ahli will play the winner of Guangzhou (China) vs Osaka (Japan), which will be held today.
