An elderly Emirati died in a traffic accident in Ras Al Khaimah on Friday afternoon.
The 65-year-old was driving from Al Burairat to Wadi Al Beah Road when his vehicle veered off the road and flipped over, said RAK Police.
Colonel Ali Saeed Elkum, Director, Traffic Department, RAK Police, said, police patrols, ambulance and rescue teams rushed to the site upon receiving information of the accident.
He was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries on the way.
Col. Elkum paid condolences to the elderly man’s family.
He urged drivers to respect speed limit and be vigilant when driving.
