Emirates ID to set up new branch in Al Madam
The Emirates Identity Authority plans to open a new temporary branch in Al Madam Municipality for the convenience of people who have to travel to Sharjah or Al Dhaid.
"Opening an ID card registration centre in Al Madam Municipality is aimed at facilitating registration of people and reducing their travel and comes as part of a project to increase temporary branches in the UAE in general and Sharjah in particular, especially in its remote areas", said Ismael Fadlallah, Director of Dubai and Northern Emirates at the Emirates Identity Authority.
This was announced during a meeting held at Al Madam Municipality and attended by Salem Obaid Al Mayala, Director of Al Madam Municipality, Ismael Fadlallah, Director of Dubai and Northern Emirates at the Emirates ID, Omer Saif Al Maamari, Supervisor of Temporary Registration Centres in Northern Emirates and Ali Matar Al Kutbi, Verification Office Supervisor in Al Dhaid Branch, with Abdullah Matar Al Kutbi as secretary and Hussam Al Zu'bi as rapporteur.
Al Mayala said it was agreed to provide a temporary branch for the Emirates Identity Authority in Al Madam area provided that it is located at the municipality.
He said the new branch would make it easier for people living in the area to complete procedures for registration in the population register. There would a separate queue for women, he added.
