Emirati bled to death for 2 hours after stabbing

Two unemployed Emiratis allegedly attacked a compatriot and stabbed him, causing his death, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

A friend of the victim, AT, 27, Emirati employee testified that at around 6pm on June 4, 2014, he received a called from his friend asking him to visit him as he was feeling bored.

“I went to his house at Al Quoz area and then we roamed around in my car in the area. AA asked me to stop when he saw four men standing at the gate of a school in the area.

“As I stopped, he got down and started talking to the men. Later I got out of the car as I heard them shouting.

“I saw MA, pulling a knife and stabbing AA. Then they all ran away. I left AA and tried to chase the attackers with my car but I lost them.

“Later, I learnt that AA died after he was rushed to the hospital,” testified AT.

AA who was severely bleeding, stopped a car at the traffic light at around 8pm, according to Pakistani AR, who was driving the car.

Then another car driven by an Emirati stopped and the motorist tried to pick up the victim.

The victim told the Emirati that some people stabbed him and he fell on the pavement unconscious.

At around 10.30pm, the Emirati called the police who arrived and rushed the victim to the hospital.

In the hospital AA passed away because of bleeding as the wound was very deep.

Later. police received a complaint about a fight in the same area.

Police rushed to the scene of the fight and arrested AJ and HN. The two claimed that AA had attacked them with a knife and ran away. They denied stabbing him.

Policeman Yaser Juma told the two that AA had been stabbed. The police could not take the testimony of the victim because of his bad condition.

Forensic medicine reported that the cause of the death was severe bleeding from a stab in the arm.

AJ, 43 and MA 21 are accused of physical assault causing the death of a person. The court will reconvene on November 8.
