The body of an Emirati man was found on Al Heera beach in Sharjah on Tuesday evening, local daily Gulf Today reported.
The report cited preliminary investigations as identifying the man as AM - 37 years old.
He is believed to have been swimming when the tide swept him away.
Beachgoers informed the police about the body, which washed ashore at around 5pm.
4 burnt in blaze succumb to injuries
Four workers who were seriously injured in a massive warehouse fire that broke out on Sunday have succumbed to their injuries.
The four workers were in the warehouse which contained pesticides when it caught fire.
Three of the deceased are from Bangladesh and one from Pakistan.
Sharjah Police are still investigating the cause of the fire.
