Emirati killed in RAK road crash

An Emirati man died after his car rammed into a wall surrounding a mosque in Ras Al Khaimah, press reports said on Sunday.

They quoted police as saying the man had apparently lost control of his car, which banged into the Clock roundabout before hitting the wall.

Newspapers said the man was aged around 50 years and identified him as AMA.

In Sharjah, police said a 45-year-old Iranian drowned while swimming at a beach in the Al Khan area because of strong currents.

Police divers later found the body and pulled it out of the water.
