Emirati man dies in car accident when bike collides with a truck

An Emirati national succumbed to his injuries following a road accident where his motorbike was involved in a head-on collision with a truck.

The incident occurred on Sunday on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road in Umm Al Quwain.

Arabic daily Al Bayan reported on the incident, stating the deceased was en route to Dubai when the accident occurred.

At approximately 8pm the Umm Al Quwain Police operation room received a call to report on an accident that occurred on E311.

Lieutenant Colonel Saeed Obaid bin Aran, Director of Traffic and Patrol, UAQ said the incident occurred at exit 96.

The impact of the collision resulted in the death of a motorcycle driver on the spot.

He appealed to road users to abide by rules and regulations to avoid deadly traffic accidents.
