Emirati man dies while crossing Emirates Road

An Emirati man crossing Emirates Road by foot died this morning after he was fatally hit by a vehicle.

The accident took place near the 6th bridge on Emirates Road coming from Sharjah to Dubai at 8.00 o’clock in the morning. The man died at the spot.

The permitted driving speed on this part of Emirates Road is 120 km/h and there are no facilities for pedestrians to cross, as it is a highway, commented Dubai Traffic Police.
