End of parking woes in sight: 40,000 new lots

Residents of Sharjah will soon get new parking lots as 43 plots of land have been allocated for multi-storey parking bays.

The Sharjah Directortae of Town Planning and Survey (DTPS) said the plots have been delivered to Sharjah Municipality, which will develop them into 40,000 parking lots.

Another 17 pedestrian crossings have also been allocated.

Similarly, the department has added more bus stations, taking the total number of bus stops to 768.

The engineer at DTPS said Dh18 million is earmarked to develop internal roads in the emirate, said Al Muhairi.
