The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) has given Enoc Group, the parent company of Enoc and Eppco filling station, a deadline of 72 hours, starting Tuesday 21 June, to resume operating its stations across the emirate.

In a meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, SEC mandated the Sharjah Department of Economic Development to take all necessary action, including closing down all the group's filling stations and associated facilities, if it failed to meet the 72 hour deadline.

A fuel shortage crisis led 82 Enoc-owned filling stations in Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Qaiwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, to halt their operations for almost a month.
