Fly from Dubai to Philippines for just Dh1

In cut-throat competition among the airlines from the UAE, the local and foreign carriers launch campaigns and airfare discounts to attract travellers.

In such latest attempt, the Philippines’ Cebu Pacific airline has launched a promo fare whereby Filipinos can fly to their homeland for just Dh1.

The sales period will run till Monday, November 3, and passengers can travel from June 1, 2015, to September 30, 2015.

The airline's website shows that the airfare after government taxes and carrier-imposed fees will be about Dh495 for the flight on Friday, June 5, 2015, from Dubai to Manila on A330-346 aircraft. However, a 20kg additional baggage will cost around Dh119.

The carrier said the one-way fare includes 7 kg of hand-carry baggage allowance and exclusive of fuel surcharge, applicable fees and taxes.

The promo is non-refundable with limited seats. International fare is on a book and buy basis.

At the time of booking, the passengers have to pre-purchase their baggage allowance to save time and money at check-in.

According to the carrier, passengers can change their flights four hours before the departure.

The airline has launched one peso airfare for the domestic flights also.
