Two Indians with fugitives allegedly kidnapped a compatriot and stole from him after he left a night club, where they had 'laughed' at him for no reason, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

BSM, 36, visitor and RMM, 24, jobless, are accused of kidnapping Mohammed Ghani Kanidor, assaulting him and stealing Dh1,600 and two mobile phones on October 1.

The 48-year-old driver, testified that he was in a night club and consumed alcohol and at around 3am left to go to the toilet. When he returned to his seat four Indians laughed at him. He told the manager who arranged a taxi for him and he left the place.

As he reached to his house in Al Satwa, a car stopped and the driver asked him to come nearer. Two, who were in the back seat, pulled him in and beat him up and the car drove away.

“They were the same people who were in the club. They took me to a house where they beat me and stole my money and mobile phone. They gave me Dh20 to take a taxi and a shirt. I changed my shirt and went to the police,” he testified.
