Freak accident injures 2 expat women in Sharjah

Two women expats were injured in a freak traffic accident on Al Dhaid Road in Sharjah on Monday.

The car they were driving in ran over scattered pieces of a vehicle leading to an accident that injured both the women, reported ‘Al Ittihad’.

While, 46-year-old American woman was seriously injured, 30-year-old Tajikistan national was moderately hurt.

The accident occurred around 1pm and no sooner than Sharjah Police learnt of the mishap that the rescue team rushed to the site and transferred the women to Al Dhaid Hospital.

Police is investigating to cause of the accident and will take statements of the women once their health permits.
