Fuel tank explodes, kills two in Abu Dhabi

Two Asian expatriates died and some shops were damaged when an empty fuel tank exploded and broke into two halves inside an automobile maintenance shop in Musaffah 11 in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

Civil Defence operations room got a phone call around 9.30 in the morning about the explosion. Firefighters and ambulances were immediate rushed to the scene of the accident.

Investigations are under way to determine the cause of the accident.
