Sharjah Police busted a gang specializing in forging work permits and visit visas and selling them to help illegal immigrants enter the UAE.
 
Police began investigations following a reliable tip-off they received, said Colonel Mohamed Al Obad, Director, Criminal Investigation Department, Sharjah Police.
 
Police discovered several Pakistanis had entered the country on these forged work permits and visas in return for money. The forged visas had a unified number, which was not issued by the naturalization and residency department.
 
Two suspects who were arrested ho confessed that they had handed over money to one of their compatriots for a work visa. They inturn led police to two other suspects – one of them admitted to receiving money from many others for a visit visa and work permit, while the other was in charge of making forged documents. The latter had an accomplice who helped him make copies of the forge documents. He was also arrested.
 
All of them have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
