Dubai Police provides a service request to visit the detainee (prisoner) through mobile phones

Public Administration Smart Services unit in Dubai Police has launched a new smart service via smartphones for those members of the public who wish to submit a request to visit a prisoner in jail.

This is in line with the initiative of Smart Government of Dubai.

Colonel Khalid Nasser Al Razzuqi said the service request to visit the detainee, is in collaboration with the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation. It shortens the time and effort for both members of the public and customer service centers in police stations.

Colonel Dr Mohammed Nasser Abdul Razak, Deputy Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation for police stations, stressed that the new service enables a person to submit a request to book an appointment to visit the detainee, in the time allocated for the visit. The permit or approval is sent by e-mail to the customer or a text message.

The Dubai  Smart Government Initiative Smart aims to transform Dubai into the smartest city in the world.
