The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Ministry of Community Development have signed an agreement to make 50 job opportunities available for those with special needs, or 'people of determination' in Tas’heel Service Centres, which are managed by the private sector to serve the UAE’s nationals, under the supervision of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

According to the agreement, which was signed at the headquarters of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in Dubai, people of determination will be exempt from fees for services provided by the Tas’heel Service Centres. A professional training programme, which complies with labour market requirements, will also be developed for them, as part of the agreement.

The event was attended by Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and Hessa Essa Buhumaid, Minister of Community Development. The agreement was signed by Saif Al Suwaidi, Under-Secretary for Human Resources Affairs at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and Sanaa Suhail, Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Community Development.

The signing of the agreement is part of the Year of Giving Initiative that was launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as well as a national policy that aims to empower people of determination that was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

"The co-operation between the two ministries is based on integrating their roles in supporting people of determination and promoting their presence in the labour market, by building their capacities and providing them with attractive and stable jobs, under the framework of realising the National Agenda of the UAE Vision 2021," Al Hamli said.

Buhumaid stated that the co-operation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation is in line with the government’s directives and helps to achieve its vision for 2021 and the strategic plans of the Ministry of Community Development, which aims to facilitate and develop services for people of determination.
