Hash-high Briton gropes woman in club

The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance on Tuesday sentenced a British investor to six month in jail for molesting an employee in a club.

SS, 43, was also ordered to be deported after serving his jail term.

According to the records, SS groped the private parts of an employee while passing by her while they were in a hotel club in Jebel Ali on February 24.

The victim, KD, 23, testified that while she was standing with her friends in a club someone groped her private parts.

She turned back and saw SS who was drunk. When confronted, he had no answer, she testified.

Criminal evidences reported that the accused was also under the influence of hashish and Tramadol.

Two jobless caught with drugs

Two jobless Omanis MMY, 29, and MMK, 27, have been accused of possessing 106 capsules containing 851gms of heroin with plans to sell it, the Dubai Criminal Court heard on Tuesday.

They have also been accused of possessing drugs for personal use and consuming the drugs.

Police received a tipoff about the accused taking drugs and were arrested at a hotel in Naif area with the drugs.

The court adjourned the case to July 22.
