There has been a shake-up of executive ranks at Microsoft, just weeks after it launched its latest operating system.
The head of its flagship Windows division and the driving force behind its Windows 8 operating system Steven Sinofsky is reportedly leaving the company with immediate effect.
The company as of now has not cited reasons for his departure.
Quoting a company statement, CRN.com reported that Julie Larson-Green will succeed him.
While she heads the hardware and software division, Tami Reller will continue as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer.
