Hospital worker caught with drugs
A Pakistani man who worked at Dubai Hospital is facing charges for possession and consumption of drugs.
The man identified as KAA, 30, was caught by anti-narcotics sleuths of Dubai Police based on a tip off.
The policemen went to Dubai Hospital on May 3 at around 1pm and found the man at the entrance of the emergency ward.
Police found three tramadol capsules with him and later confiscated a large quantity of Trihexyphenidyl, Tramadol, Benzhexol and Trephine from his accommodation in Al Qouz. He was further found to have been consuming hashish.
Claiming innocence in the matter, he said it was a friend he named as Ibrahim Abbas, who has since fled, who asked him to keep the drugs with him.
The court adjourned the case for next month.
