Hotel damaged by fire in Al Ain

A fire damaged City Seasons Hotel in the Eastern oasis town of Al Ain on Sunday but there were no casualties, a newspaper reported on Monday.

Civil defence units which rushed to the area brought the blaze under control and prevented it from spreading to other hotel facilities.

The Arabic language daily 'Emarat Al Youm' said all guests and staff members were evacuated safely from the hotel before the fire was put out.

The paper did not mention the cause of the fire or specify the damage.
