Humid and hot weekend in UAE

Be ready to sweat it out as the weather will put a damper on any outdoor Eid Al Fitr activities with the Mercury hovering near 50 degrees Celsius, even as the humidity levels rise above 95 per cent.

The UAE’S National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology ( NCMS) has forecast a further increase in temperatures this Eid weekend, even as some respite comes in the formation of towering clouds in the eastern parts of the country.

According to the NCMS, the weather on Friday should be fair in general, tipping over into the realm of hot climes as the Mercury sits at highs of 48 degrees.

‎The NCMS adds that some towering clouds would form over the eastern areas by afternoon and evening, with a rise in temperature is expected.

Light to moderate winds, freshening at times over some areas will bring some respite. However, the relative humidity will increase during night and Saturday early morning over some coastal areas, with a chance of mist formation.

The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf, and moderate to rough at times in the Oman Sea.

On Saturday as well, do expect hazy and partly cloudy climes, with a probability of some towering clouds formation over the eastern areas by afternoon and evening.

The relative humidity will further increase during night and Sunday early morning over some coastal areas, with a chance of mist formation.

Slight to moderate sea in the Arabian Gulf, and moderate to rough at times in the Oman Sea.
