The "Imagine Abu Dhabi" initiative has attracted 2,270 entries within 25 days of its launch, with the aim of opening opportunities for different segments of society to present proposals and ideas that support the development of the emirate.

The entries, in different languages, tackled various economic areas and sectors in the emirate, including investment opportunities, services development, education, health, culture, arts and other creative proposals, supporting the direction of Abu Dhabi to motivate initiatives that contribute to developing an economy based on knowledge and innovation.

Dr. Fahad Matar Al Neyadi, Director-General of the General Secretariat of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, said that the Imagine Abu Dhabi initiative aims to open a new vision of responsibility and partnership between the emirate’s government authorities and its society.

He added that since its launch, the initiative has seen a considerable demand for participation, promoting the position of Abu Dhabi as a platform for embracing innovators from all categories and nationalities, reflecting the concept of social partnership to shape a brighter future for Abu Dhabi.

Al Neyadi further added that Imagine Abu Dhabi has established a development stage of continuous work, to promote the emirate’s development and confirm the growing awareness of the Abu Dhabi community about its great and constructive role in its development.

He highlighted the importance of the role of authorities and associations with different specialisations in motivating all segments of society to participate in the initiative, by using all platforms to promote Imagine Abu Dhabi and encourage the community to submit their proposals on the future of the emirate.

The public can still submit ideas and proposals by filling in the application form on the Our Abu Dhabi website. Proposals will go through several stages, starting with their assessment by a specialised team who will classify them according to specific standards.

Proposals that pass the primary standards will be reviewed by a team of experts in government work, to study the feasibility of the applications and their economic, social and environmental impact.
