Imam in jail for having nude photos

An Egyptian imam has been acquitted of seducing women to have sex with him but punished him for possessing nude pictures.

In a sting operation a policeman posed as a woman and coordinated with the imam. He later sent the disguised cop an indecent photo of himself, 'Gulf News' reported.

A sex toy was also found in his possession, a first lieutenant testified.

SM, 35, will be deported after serving one month in jail, ruled Dubai Appeal Court. "The nude photos will be confiscated," said the judge.

The judgment remains subject to appeal before the Cassation Court within 30 days.
