Interpol-wanted gang boss arrested

The Sharjah Police’s Department of Criminal Investigation, has arrested the leaders of a gang, one of whom is wanted by Interpol.
 
The gang specialises in stealing all types of vehicles.
 
Those arrested have been identified as A.A.O., a 58-year-old Syrian and O.A.Q., a 36-year-old Palestinian national.
 
The arrests come after Sharjah Police began receiving many complaints of thefts of vehicles - light and heavy.
 
A trailer was then put up for sale for Dh40,000 in one of the emirates. The CID team launched a probe into this deal on offer, which led to the arrest of the two.
The two had stolen the trailer and put it on sale.
 
Security checks on the suspects found one of them was wanted by Interpol for charges pending in another country.
