Auto dealers in Dubai seem to be in fierce competition to win more customers.

Car sales in the GCC increased at a much slower rate in 2015 when compared with the double-digit jump of 2014. Many dealers are now sweetening their offers to boost sales across the region.

Traditionally, shopping festivals and Ramadan are the best times to buy a new set of wheels, but most auto dealers now have deals and offers to entice potential buyers even in the so-called no-sale period months.

The latest is Al Nabooda Automobiles. They have announced a 72-hour sale at Volkswagen showrooms offering special deals and discounted rates on models like the Golf and Beetle, to Tiguan and Touareg SUVs.

The deals are available in Dubai and the Northern Emirates from today, March 10 until March 12, 2016.

Al Tayer Motors is also offering deals on its Ford brand. The company has introduced attractive offers on some its smaller models such as Ford Figo, Focus and Ecosport.

All the three cars can be bought at monthly instalments of less than Dh900 per month. Besides this, three-year free service and a five-year warranty are also added to the offer.

Al Habtoor Motors is also offering free insurance, 5 years or 10,000km and no cost service up to 30,000km.

Al Futtaim Honda is offering discounts on the sale price of some models with free insurance and free window tinting.

A ‘Zero Down Payment’ scheme is also applicable on all new Toyotas, making it easy to own these Japanese cars. Besides this, the company is offering zero per cent interest for two years and no instalment for the first three months.

Suzuki has also slashed prices on many of its models and is now offering 7 years’ warranty.
