Jam on Sheikh Zayed Road, towards Dubai

Three separate crashes were reported on Sheikh Zayed Road, during the Sunday morning rush hour, with motorists warning of delays on the busy highway.

At 8am, Dubai Police posted information about one if the accidents on its official Twitter account, requesting commuters to find alternative routes, saying: “An accident on Sheikh Zayed Road after Al Safa Bridge towards Dubai Mall Bridge; kindly use alternative routes.”

A second crash was reported a short distance away around 8.15am, near the Business Bay Metro station, adding to the morning gridlock that is seeing tailbacks until Mall of the Emirates.

Eyewitnesses reported a third incident at 8.30am, near the Gold and Diamond Park, also headed northbound on Sheikh Zayed Road.
