JBR shop fire gives residents smoke scare

A fire broke out at the Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) Rimal 1 building on Saturday evening, creating some amount of panic and fear for residents.

The fire was contained by security staff, an eye-witness told Emirates 24|7.

“There was a small fire that erupted near a shop on the Plaza level of Rimal 1. The fire could have spread, but the timely action of the security guards bought it under control,” said SS, a JBR resident.

Dubai Police and fire bridage also reached the stop within 10 minutes, he added.

JBR is among the prime freehold localities in Dubai.

It faces 1.7 kilometres of beach that features luxury hotels, retail outlets and restaurants and houses 36 residential towers.
