The case of a geologist who succumbed to multiple injuries following a fall from the 32nd-floor balcony of his Bahar Tower flat in Jumeirah Beach Resort is being heard in England.

Twenty-four year old Ryan Guest allegedly stepped onto a table and attempted closing the patio door behind him before taking the 300-feet fatal leap on July 12, 2008, reported 'The Sun'.

His girlfriend, 30-year-old Louise Botham, told an inquest at County Hall in Kendal, Cumbria, that Guest was "very drunk, angry and upset and minutes before jumping down they had an argument. He ran out to the balcony, jumped on the table and said 'I'm going'. That's all he said. (https://bit.ly/qzE9St).

Recording a narrative verdict, South Cumbria Deputy Coroner Shirley Evans said: "Ryan Guest died as a result of his own actions while not understanding their inevitable consequences because he was under the influence of alcohol." (https://bit.ly/qzE9St).

On the night of his death Guest had returned from  his job at a oil rig. His parents said he "acheived so much and possessed a job that surpassed anybody else that age. So he was bound to be under pressure".

Post-mortem reports reveal Guest died from multiple injuries from the fall.
