Two others allegedly involved in the case were arrested in Dubai, according to Brigadier Khalil Ebrahim Al Mansouri, Head of CID.
Last week, two students went to their friend’s flat and consumed alcohol.
Meanwhile, the victim's girlfriend came to the flat and slept there. One of the friends tried to harass the girl, Al Mansouri said, adding that the victim tried to prevent his friend from harassing the girl. Both the friends beat him up and left the flat accompanied by the girl.
He said that after nine hours, the victim’s brother informed the police that he found his brother dead in his flat in a pool of blood.
Three Dubai police officials travelled to Cairo with the extradition documents. The police officials found the suspect’s clothes which had the victim’s blood. He also confessed to the crime.
The suspects have been referred to the Dubai Public Prosecution on charges of murder and the woman is referred on charges of consensual sex.
