Residents and visitors of Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) should anticipate a delay in travel to and from the community as road diversions are in place.
"As of today, there are traffic diversions in place in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT).
"They are located along Road No. 5, which runs parallel to the JLT community park, whereby the number of traffic lanes are reduced.
"Please allow for some extra time if you are travelling through this area," master developer Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC) has said on its website.
The road diversions will be in place for at least a month, the authority said.
Road No. 5 is also known as the back road, the street that runs parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road across the clusters.
The diversion include the minimising of four lanes into two, heading straight in the direction of Sheikh Zayed Road, and one lane for traffic making a left turn.
The lanes are not as usual, however, and motorists are urged to pay attention to road signs.
Ahead of the road diversion, traffic heading to a left will be directed to a single lane which will be demarcated by safety cones.
A temporary access road has been opened for traffic in this direction and in the opposite direction for traffic approaching JLT.
Traffic heading north should keep right using the two outer-most lanes in order to stay on the right side of the demarcation line.
The road diversion is in place to allow for construction work.
A project description has not yet been confirmed by the concerned authorities.
