Lawyer acquitted of sex charges reinstated

The federal supreme court reinstated a lawyer who had been acquitted from sex charges that had earlier prompted a court to suspend him from practising the profession, press reports said on Monday.
The court upheld a sentence by an Abu Dhabi appeal court which acquitted the solicitor and decided to abolish the suspension decision.
"The federal supreme court found that the absence of an article in the law profession reinstating a lawyer in case of acquittal from charges does not mean the lawyer is deprived from restoring his job," Alkhaleej newspaper said, without naming the lawyer or elaborating on charges against him.
