Leaders at your service: Direct link to Dubai Police top brass

Have thoughts on how to remedy those repeat traffic offenders you spot on your daily commute, or are you simply eager to suggest an increase in police patrolling in your neighbourhood?

Dubai Police has created a direct link between residents and the top brass on the force for a personal interaction via its ‘Leaders at your Service’ initiative.

From the Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security, Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Al Tamim to the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Major-General Khamis Mattar Al Muzainah, along with the Director of General Traffic Department of Dubai Police, Major-General Mohammed Saif Al Zafeen… they are all among a long list of leaders who will make themselves accessible to the general public.

The idea behind the online electronic service is to provide a platform for the public to present their inquiries and feedback for the developments and improvements of Dubai Police services and in order to improve the services offered to themselves in return.

You can submit an application using this service without the need to register to the site.

Simply pick the department head you want to liaise with on the entire Dubai Police Force and fill out an online form with your ideas, suggestion or file attachments.

A message indicating that the operation was successful with a reference number will be issued to the applicant to follow up.

Karuna Awtani, a Dubai resident, lauded the service, saying: “I think this is a brilliant move on behalf of the police force to encourage a two-way dialogue between the authority and the public to create a better environment and improve upon troubled areas.”

Ashley Parker, a resident of Mirdiff community, stated she was keen on requesting more police patrolling in the quiet neighbourhood at night.

“My husband travels very frequently and I am often home alone with my two-year-old baby in the villa,” she said. “I know it would be very comforting for a lot of families living in the area in independent villas if there was an opportunity to have more frequent police patrols at night to ensure everyone’s safety.”

The ‘Leaders at your Service’ is offered in both Arabic and English languages.
